How to Take Your Recommendations

A simple guide to getting the most from your supplements, herbs, and homeopathic remedies. Always follow your personal Protocol page for exact dosage and timing.

Vitamins & Supplements

  • Follow your Protocol page for dosage and timing.
  • Take with food unless otherwise directed. (Capsules may be opened into food or drink; tablets may be crushed and mixed.)
  • Drink at least 6–8 glasses of water a day.
  • Let me know if you notice any discomfort or change in symptoms.

Rules for Homeopathic Remedies

(These rules apply to homeopathics — not to custom tinctures. Take homeopathic remedies and herbs apart from meals.) For 20 minutes before and after your drops, take nothing by mouth but water — no food, drink, gum, toothpaste, or caffeine. Additionally:

  • No mint in any form for 1 hour before and after.
  • No camphor (e.g., muscle/joint rubs).
  • Avoid strong smells (paint thinner, eucalyptus, smoke, mothballs) 1 hour before and after.
  • Avoid raw garlic 2 hours before and after.
  • Don't take colon cleansers, fiber, or binders at the same time as medications or other supplements.

It's usually best to place remedies under the tongue; you may also mix them into an ounce or two of spring or purified water. If you have an alcohol sensitivity, put the drops into 2 ounces of hot water and let it sit about 5 minutes so the alcohol evaporates.

Taking Herbs

Follow your Protocol for dosage. Liquid herbs are best placed under the tongue, or mixed into spring or purified water.

If You're Doing Detox Support

A detox product and a drainer work together: the detox helps mobilize waste, and the drainer helps your body clear it — so if you're detoxing, stay on your drainer. The guiding principle is always low and slow. It's not unusual to feel mild, temporary symptoms as the body clears — headaches, sluggishness, or a short-lived flare. If it's too much, reduce your dose by half, hold there a few days, then build back up by about a drop a day. Rest and plenty of water make any discomfort milder. If you're ever unsure, reach out — but this page usually has what you need.

This guidance supports clients in following their personalized wellness plan. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Never stop or change a prescribed medication without consulting your prescribing physician, and check with your provider before combining supplements with medications.
