Understanding the Supportive Therapies

Gentle, non-invasive techniques that may be woven into your plan when they're the right fit — always chosen for you, never one-size-fits-all.

These therapies share a common thread: they work with the body's own regulation — especially the nervous system — to help it settle, release, and rebalance. None of them diagnose or treat disease. They're supportive tools that, used thoughtfully, can help you feel calmer, more resilient, and more at home in your body.

Mind-Body

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)

NET is a gentle mind-body technique built on a simple observation: unresolved stress can get "stored" as a physical pattern in the body. Sometimes a past event is long over, yet the body still braces as if it isn't — showing up as tension, reactivity, or a stuck feeling around a certain theme.

Using muscle-response feedback to locate these patterns, NET helps the nervous system recognize and release the stored stress response, so the body can let go of a reaction it no longer needs. It's not talk therapy and it's not a treatment for mental illness — it's a way of helping the body update an old stress pattern toward greater ease.

Nervous System Regulation

Hypothalamic Reset Technique

The hypothalamus is a small but mighty region of the brain — a kind of control center that helps regulate stress hormones, sleep, temperature, appetite, and the balance between "fight or flight" and "rest and digest."

The Hypothalamic Reset Technique is a gentle approach aimed at supporting balance in this regulation center, encouraging the nervous system to shift out of a chronic stress state. Many people are drawn to it for support with sleep, mood steadiness, and overall resilience — the sense of being able to meet life without feeling constantly "wired and tired."

Settling & Releasing

The Unwinds: Brain, Emotion & Allergy

A family of calming processes that help the body ease out of a heightened stress response and back toward balance.

Brain Unwind

When we live in overwhelm for too long, the nervous system can get "stuck on high." Brain Unwind supports the system in settling out of that overdrive, encouraging a greater sense of calm, spaciousness, and mental clarity.

Emotion Unwind

The body often holds onto emotional tension — a tightness we carry without quite realizing it. Emotion Unwind is a gentle process designed to help ease that held tension, so difficult feelings can move through rather than lodge in the body.

Allergy Unwind

Allergy Unwind is a supportive approach for easing the body's stress response to common environmental and dietary sensitivities. Importantly, it isn't a medical treatment or cure for allergies — it's a way of helping the nervous system be less reactive, which some people find supportive alongside appropriate medical care.

Energy Flow

Meridian Flushing

Meridian Flushing draws on a tradition thousands of years old. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, vital energy — called Qi — flows through a network of pathways in the body known as meridians. When that flow is smooth and balanced, we tend to feel well; when it becomes blocked or disrupted by stress, injury, diet, or environment, discomfort can follow.

To "flush" a meridian simply means to gently guide energy along its pathway to help cleanse and rebalance it. One of the loveliest things about the practice is how accessible it is — the basics are free, simple, and can be done almost anywhere. As part of your plan, I can show you how to work with specific meridians and share a complete, step-by-step guide to practice at home.

A Tool You Can Use Anywhere

EFT Tapping

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), often called “tapping,” is a simple self-help practice that pairs gentle tapping on the body's acupressure points with focused attention on a stressful feeling or thought. Many people find it a calming way to ease stress, tension, and difficult emotions in the moment — and it's free, portable, and easy to learn.

I'm not a certified EFT practitioner, but I'm glad to walk you through the basics as part of our work together and point you to trusted resources, so you have a gentle, grounding practice to reach for whenever you need a moment of calm.
